Joe Dewey is the Founder and President of InTouch Life Sciences LLC, a successful life science business development and commercialization firm located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Joe brings a 30 year successful track record in the life science industry specializing in product development and marketing. He began his career as a research bio-organic chemist with Eli Lilly & Co., synthesizing and characterizing proteins and peptides. He was selected for key assignments with Lilly’s pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams during which he successfully launched several innovative pharmaceutical products.

As a result of successful product launches, Joe was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing for Lilly’s consumer products division for the United Kingdom. Later he held senior management positions in the United States and Canada. He consistently employed and developed successful people and increased market share while appropriately decreasing cost of sales expenses. Subsequently he gained valuable experience in the medical device sector, as head of regional sales at IVAC prior to its spin-out from Eli Lilly. He was a member of the leadership team for the Lilly start-up which became Guidant Corporation.

After his time at Lilly, Joe’s distinguished career continued at Boston Healthcare Associates as Executive Director, leading corporate development initiatives for several life science clients in the U.S. and Europe.

Joe holds a degree in Bio-Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois and has participated in leadership programs at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, Northwestern University and Quality Management Institute.He is a member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) and the North Carolina Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED).
